Commercializing Aquaponics

Aquaponics merges aquaculture and hydroponics raising fish and cultivating plantsto create an integrated efficient system for food production Within mobile self-contained units nutrient rich fish waste nourishes fruits and vegetables In turn those plants along with assistance from earthworms and bio-filtration systems naturally cleanse the water which is then recirculated back to the fish Excess sediment laden water is processed separately to produce a soil enhancing fertilizer.

Is this concept new? Not at all . Civilizations have utilized aquaponic principles for millennia. What’s novel today is the innovation of housing the entire ecosystem both aquatic and plant-based within climate regulated transportable modular farms.

Products by Future Fresh Farms

Farmtainers™ are single closed loop units featuring both aquatic and plant-based agriculture
Farmplexes™ consist of multiple interconnected modules plant only Growtainers and a dedicated Fishtainer for aquaculture.

The system generates three key outputs:

  • Fresh Produce
  • Fish as protein or nutrient source
  • MicroRevive™ a liquid soil-enhancing formula derived from treated water.

Land Equivalent Efficiency Each Future Fresh Farm delivers agricultural productivity on par with 46 acres of conventional farmland

Production Capabilities

These modular units can cultivate a broad selection of crops including leafy greens, herbs, berries, edible flowers and micro-greens. Containers may be crop specific or contain diverse plant types depending on the growers goals. Fish Operators may harvest fish for protein or maintain mature fish solely to supply nutrients to the plants.
Soil Rejuvenation MicroRevive is created by treating sediment heavy water with a proprietary microbial mix. One Future Fresh Farm yields enough of this solution to support regenerative treatment of approximately 10 acres of traditional soil-based farmland.
